Tahoe/Sub LTZ 20" wheels on 99 Silverado
Has anyone put the factory 20" wheels that are found on the new Tahoe/Suburbans on their 99-07 GM Classic trucks? I am thinking very seriously of this combination and would love to see some pictures of people's rides that have already done it. I haven't seen a truck with them, so I'm very curious. I think it would be a sharp combo.

My daily is similar to what you're looking for. I will tell you that the Tahoe wheels will fit- I had a set on temporarily 'til I got my alignment done. They look good, but are a little flashy for my taste...

Ok, so why did you have to go and show me that??? That is the exact same color truck I have. So now I have to find a set of them wheels and lower mine since I will never be satisfied until it looks like that. As you can see I need some wheels

My setup is around a 3.5" front 5.5" rear. I used spindles and keys up front and a McGaughys 5" kit with ART bags out back. Ride quality is better than stock...

Thanks man. I know how it is, I was kicking my A$$ for not getting it lower after I did it. So it's 5" McGaughys springs and ART air shocks?

I bet you they weren't as flashy as the ones that were on my daily driver when I bought it...see below. Needless to say, I don't have them on there anymore! HA!

Re: Tahoe/Sub LTZ 20" wheels on 99 Silverado
I like the looks of all three of those wheels. I particularly want to see the wheels that are on the white Tahoe on a truck like mine. I've seen the wheels that are on the gray truck on a truck like mine before and I think it looks great too!
I just think it would add a little jazz to it without going over the top. Thanks for the pictures!

Re: Tahoe/Sub LTZ 20" wheels on 99 Silverado
Here is mine with Denali optional 20" wheels. Although I have seen these on an extended cab Chev with bowtie center caps on them so maybe they are just optional GM wheels?
Since this picture was taken I had to replace the 275/55/20 front tires with I think 255/50/20's. They just rubbed too much on the inner fenders. Those are the rims I was hunting for and almost pulled the trigger on a set but the guy rubbed me the wrong way so I walked.

Re: Tahoe/Sub LTZ 20" wheels on 99 Silverado
Nice looking wheels Kevin. Thanks for the picture.
The more I look at that gray truck, the more I'm liking those wheels. I was aiming for the ones that are on the white Tahoe, but I may be leaning towards the other ones now. Wow...DECISIONS!

Re: Tahoe/Sub LTZ 20" wheels on 99 Silverado
The wheels you are talking about fit perfect on a 2005 chevy 4x4 z71, I had one before gas went to $3.50 a gallon. I am not sure if they will clear on a 2wd truck.

Re: Tahoe/Sub LTZ 20" wheels on 99 Silverado
I didn't think about the clearance issues with the two wheel drive. My last several vehicles have been four wheel drives and I forget about the suspension difference.
Does anyone know if they will work on the two wheelers?

Re: Tahoe/Sub LTZ 20" wheels on 99 Silverado
The McGaughy's 5" rear kit includes trailing arm relocators, shock extenders and sway bar relocators. I used all of this with ART(Firestone) bags in place of the 5" drop coils.
I also did what is refered to as the DJM Free-Travel Mod. This removes the stock bumpstop brackets and replaces them with short urethane bumpstops. The ART kit comes with cups to mount the bags in place of the stock coils. I am working on building a set for a buddy's Tahoe- if they work, I'll probably share the dimensions.

I was thinking about the LTZ rims myself but I have always wanted to put the SS Silverado rims on my 'burban. I finally did it!
