I hear ya there...

anything that you need that is to big to ship (hoods, rad support, bedsides etc..) are good to pick up at shows..

NOS parts, bucket seats, tach dash, AM/FM radio, toys...

I would avoid windshields unless they are perfect and under $50. Easier to just have a pro install a new one...

Re: Swap Meet: What to look for?

Don`t buy things you can mail order unless it`s something expensive to ship.If you don`t really need that right away, don`t get that either.
I buy good oem sheetmetal,N.o.S.,and whatever strikes me.

Re: Swap Meet: What to look for?

Last year at that meet a guy had just sold a shortfleet bed for $75 that had no floor in it. And the head board and bed sides were pretty decent. tail gate was so so. I offered him to double his money but no luck. Just my luck.

Re: Swap Meet: What to look for?

Tilt column, buddy buckets, are also pretty rare but I would only buy cheap and if I was sure of what they were.

Re: Swap Meet: What to look for?

bring your walking shoes its one long walk just to get in at gateway also another tip is to show up early and with one as large as gateway you probably wont be able to come back later and check it out again it will probably be gone.
