Quick Need Help: Title Registration in Tennessee
I have one of my vehicles for sale, 1968 C10.
I'm located in Alabama were if the vehicle is 1974 or Older we do not require a title. We are required a copy of the previous owner's tag-receipt & bill of sell. I had my truck sold to someone in Tennessee, but they never purchased a classic. After I mention no title, they are backing out. Does anyone know Tennessee's law on title registration on classic vehicles? If so, what is needed to make my deal go thru so the buyer in TN can be confident he can register this 68' ? Thanks |

Re: Quick Need Help: Title Registration in Tennessee
Call the TN DMV and explain the situation. They could probably email you the specific code that explains this type of transaction. Or you could just have the person interested in buying it call the DMV themselves.
My truck was from Alabama and that is exactly what the owner gave me - tag receipt and bill of sale. Haven't titled it yet, but hopefully it's not a problem. Let me know what you find out.

Got mine from Georgia and all you need is the tag receipt ( previuos owner ) and a bill of sale and the will register it for you, that was all i needed to get mine registered anyway.
