Add another 67 to my roster!!
Today we went to a local consignment auction, and we came home with this:
It's a 67 C20, with the 250 Inline 6, a 4 speed transmission, and very little rust. It has the original build sheet, owners manual, and supplement manual. The exterior is virtually rust-free, and the interior is very clean. The heater core is has had some mice in it, as it's plugged, lol. The motor runs great, I'm going to give it a good tune up in the next few weeks. The current plans are to tear the front suspension apart and replace the bushings and tie rod ends, as well as give it a 2/4 drop. It has a coil spring rear, with the HD spring rear, which has the helper leaves. I'll remove those. I don't have any plans for body work, but there is some bondo, so eventually it'll have to be done. But right now the plan is to get it running and driving. Oh, did I mention that it has 76,000 original miles?? Also, we only paid $1250 for it. So, what do you think??

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
Ok, first question. Anyone know if there is a company that makes 8 lug rally wheels?? We want to get some better tires on the truck, and the rims look like crap. Also, would they be able to fit the stock hubcaps?

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
It's obvious that the truck was always parked inside, and never driven in the winter. The dash pad is perfect, which is a rarity on these trucks. The original owner's name and metallic card are still in the manual. It is too cool.

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
Cant help with finding rally wheels in 8 lug... maybe some 8 lug slots would be just as good. I must say, that is a super-duper deal for $1250 !!! Congrats

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
Nice truck! No one makes 8-lug ralleys, but Stockton wheel will if you ask them to. They'll make anything.

Near New Ulm. 50 miles Northwest of Mankato, if that helps.

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
that silver card is the protectoplate.
That is possibly the cleanest barn find in Mn. You guys are one of the few states with more rust than Ohio. You did good... both on the truck and the price... actually, you stole it. No such thing as 8 lug rallys. For the cost of stocton's custom rallys, you could almost get Foose to build you something out of billit gold. |

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
Super nice! I had a 67 just like yours, even the interior paint was the same,
I never thought it was factory original but I guess it was, or it had a twin (yours) I ended up selling it and Im still regreting it , mine was 100% rust free. |

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
Yeah, the lower part of this truck has been bondo'd and re-painted, but it's decent work, and I'm not too worried. It is a great truck, and I plan on having a lot of fun with it.
Thanks for all the compliments guys!!

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
That interior is the same color as my '67 - a real biotch to match the color with, and none of the repro people make anything in that color. But you scored big time on that truck - keep us posted on your progress!

Re: Add another 67 to my roster!!
That is a nice looking truck. As for 8 lug rallys, I have always thought the Dodge wheels on my truck kind of look like rallys.
