Wow!?! Man, I bet the inside of your engine is clean enough to eat of off..
I have always changed mine at around 3,000 miles on my old trucks. On my new vehicles, I wait until it's closer to 5,000 miles. I guess it would depend on how you drive it. |

Re: when should I change the oil?(rebuilt engine)
I think he means the initial oil change, since the engine has been re-built. I agree with him also. I have always changed the oil after the first 250 or so miles.

Oh,,, I guess you're talking of the first change after a rebuilt... Brain wasn't thinking...
Yes, the first oil change on the engines I've rebuilt has been at around 300 miles. |

Re: when should I change the oil?(rebuilt engine)
After a rebuild (consider the rebuild 0 miles); I change the oil & filter at 500, 1500, 3000 miles.
Then it's oil & filter every 300 miles after that. That's just me, though.

Re: when should I change the oil?(rebuilt engine)
I always change at 500 on fresh rebuild then at 1500-2000 on the next then go to the regular 3000 change
