Another New guy with a 60 GMC.
Ok I figure it's time i say hello and introduce myself. I have been lurking here for a while since I picked up my truck. I got a 1960 GMC longbed fleetside, Decent shape runner with power steering and disc brake upgrades and 5 lug all around with a 350 chev and a th350. A week later I swapped the motor for stronger running 350 I already had out of my old 66 buick skylark. I also have been working on a serious Lattitude adjustment. Ok not as crazy as some on here but I plan to use the truck as a truck. I c notched the rear about 3 inches and will have bags at all 4 corners.
anyhow I will post some pics soon when I am not at work. Eric |

Re: Another New guy with a 60 GMC.
Welcome aboard,
I also have a '60 GMC, 8' Fleet. Your truck color is Exactly the way I was planning on painting my ride. The factory 2 tone is great. Yours is the first time I've seen that combination in a truck (other than post cards or magazine adds) Please mack sure you join our 1960-1966 GMC Group at the following web links it's free but a donation would help the Site Admin. Re: Another New guy with a 60 GMC.
SChlong beds are cool but i think I might shorten it up here in the future. The wheels are old radirs. cool but the fronts I have for it are 5 0n 4 3/4 and I have adapters to fit 5 on 5. it makes em stick out to much and looks funny. If I cant find a rotor to work soon I am going to redrill the ones I have for the smaller pattern.

Well, the ol’ girl’s a bit rough, but she’s definitely got character.
I can just imagine her headed over to Steamer’s Lane with a couple of sticks in the back. Mac.

Wow - you're in a great part of the state, regardless of what some in here might think of California.
