Pulleys, what is going on?
I bought the kit from Classic Auto Air, the Surefit system, they say it comes with everything you need except for the pulleys. So... I went today to the salvage yard looking for pulleys and couldn't seem to find one to work. I need a 3 groove crank pulley, and 2 groove water pump. I can't figure out why I have what I have on my truck. I hope one of you can tell me what I need and possibly what I have.

REVISED:
If someone could tell me/show me with pictures, what the original pulleys look like off a factory air motor, so that i am able to try to locate what i need. |

Re: Pulleys, what is going on?
It looks like you already have the correct "inside" pulley on the crank. The lower crank pulley against the balancer should be a "double" as well and your double pulley will bolt inside of that. There is also a double fan pulley.
Hopefully someone can back me up on that... but here's a pic of mine (sorry it kinda sucks).

Re: Pulleys, what is going on?
Here's mine, factory AC not hooked up. Your crank pulley looks right. Your brackets look haywire.

Re: Pulleys, what is going on?
Found a better pic for you:
When I go to add my power steering someday, I'll have to buy the lower crank pulley that bolts inside the double crank pulley I already have. Hope this helps.

Re: Pulleys, what is going on?
That's what I was saying you need a two groove crank pulley to fill that "red" space you drew.

Re: Pulleys, what is going on?
Ya, I live an hour north of Tampa and they have a location there. they were going to ship it to my house for free but i need it here now. so i paid the difference and got it on a 2 day ride from texas. i had vintage in mind but when i called and talked to them thir coustermer service won me over. Also the fact that i was talking to them about the pulleys today for a good little while.

Re: Pulleys, what is going on?
Ok remember that you need pulleys for a short water pump setup. the pulleys off a later setup probably won't work.
I never throw a pulley away off anything I junk out and it has saved my tailfeathers more than once. I don't know if I have the proper pulleys to take photos of or measure though. |

Re: Pulleys, what is going on?
Transdapt shows black and chrome pulleys for short waterpumps with two grooves and the ac pulley for the crank.
