Speed nuts on wheel wells

Are these local auto parts store items or something harder to get?

(I am refereing to the speed nuts that hold the front fender wells to the inside lip of the fenders)

thanks
Mark

Re: Speed nuts on wheel wells

I occasionally see them where they keep their bolts, nuts, etc. If you just need a few, take an old one with you if you have one to compare. Problem is I usually just see 2 or 3 and not cheap. I hear that Napa also sells them.

If you need a set for both wheel wells I would do a search on the vendors sites and see what prices they have versus individually.

Like 68gmsee said, NAPA has them or can get them for you. You might check with your local body shop, some of the older ones have a lot of that kind of stuff laying around....

The Body/paint supply place I deal with carries all those type of special fasteners.

Lowes has them, Ace Hardware , orschelens has them body shops have them , self help at parts stores has them or they have them in Dorman supply trays. Not hard to find. Its paying for them that hurts.. :-)
