2005 3/4 ton rear in 72 gmc
I.m thinking about putting a 2005 3/4 rear in my 72 gmc 4x4. I found one to match my dana 44 front rear. Has anyone done this? Will the spring perches have to be moved? Shock mounts?

The one i done all i had to do was move the perches, the shock mounts worked fine.

Zork!!....Howdy,long time no see.The perches are located wider and aren`t the shocks mounted wider, too?Either way,the later trucks have thr fore and aft shock mounting and the`72 is both forward.Still, yes,a very doeable solution to raising gearing.
