I have been wanting to build a 67-72 SWB for years and always wondered how hard it would be to use a later model frame. I am pretty sure the wheel base is the same? I like the thought of having disc brakes, leaf springs, & the fuel tank under the chassis. Anyone done this? I have a line on a late 70's SWB rolling frame cheap, so I wanted to see if anyone has tried this route. Thanks in advance

4x4 with body lift yes 2wd no

x2...the frame is longer in the front.But mostly,with the bed on the frame the cab & front clip need a 2" lift to line up.

Why would you want a leaf spring set up over a coil? Coil rides better and hooks up better.

Oh,and `73-up fuel tank won`t work under the chassis.
