Replacing Window Regulators

Any tips for replacing window regulators? Factory Service Manual makes it seem pretty straight forward.

Re: Replacing Window Regulators

Thanks John. The Factory Service Manual makes no mention of removing the vent window.

Re: Replacing Window Regulators

I didn't remove my vent window, I did undo the retaining screws at the bottom though so that I could move the window channel out of the way just enough to pull the reg past it. It was awkward but it worked, the instructions in The Manual helped too.

Re: Replacing Window Regulators

Eightbanger your a better man then me. Could not figure out how to remove the regulators without taking out the vent windows. A couple of hours and much swearing and it's done. Replaced the window channel as well. Driver's side is like butter, passenger's side is really tight, feels like it's binding in the channel.
Any ideas?

Re: Replacing Window Regulators

Sinister those channels do have adjustment in them, loosen off the screws at the bottom of both channels and roll the window fully down that will push the channels out then re-tighten the screws. That took the stiff feeling outa mine.
