My new DD/Toy

Hello all. just recently picked up this 77 C-10 with a newer rebuilt 350 under the hood and a 4 speed to go along and traded my 96 grand cherokee straight up for it. Needs a little loving not much but shes there. Ive always loved old cars and trucks and with having a motorcycle and kayaking, biking, etc i thought a truck would suit me better. here she is let me know what you all think. Thanks take care

Cool, looks good in the bright orange. It seems like a great deal for you. To trade the Jeep for that was (to quote Homer Simpson) "S-M-R-T smart smart smart." But...I think you have a K-10 my friend. C=2WD K=4x4

Re: My new DD/Toy

its a K series...C series are 2wd

the 1st digit indicates make...in your case, C should be there identifying it as a Chevrolet. The second digit should be a C or K, C for 2wd, K for 4wd. If it is a C, then someone switched cabs on this truck...or VIN's.

Nice truck. Now add security features to disable it. I would hate to see it stolen for parts!! If you need ideas send me a PM.

Cool color!!

Re: My new DD/Toy

Thanks everyone. Yeah straight up for my grand Cherokee. It served me well in the past years but had some things becoming worse with time. I think the color rocks. Looking forward to getting things done to it. Nothing crazy just a reliable nice daily driver

That's a great trade for you, I don't know about the other guy.

It looks so good already, but what mods/repairs do you have in mind to make
it your own?

Re: My new DD/Toy

I hate to sound repetitious, I keep looking for a way to say this, but the only thing that comes to mind is...nice truck! Get yourself some angle iron mounted to the underside of that hood where it's starting to bend. These hoods all do that, and eventually it will crease and start to crack (on both sides)!

Re: My new DD/Toy

You might lubricate the hood hinge area. Hinges that bind up buckle hoods.
