Here's a little article about me getting my truck ...
Article here
Hey, guys. I wrote this little article about when I got my truck that you might like. Now, in the spirit of full-disclosure, I am giving you the link because I get paid like a half-a-penny or-so whenever someone clicks on that link. My job recently gave me Fridays off! Unfortunately, they gave my paycheck Fridays off, too. So I'm going to try and write things for this blog or whatever you want to call it. I think it's going to be more work than it's worth, but I'll try anything. I'll be writing more car articles, and there are a few there already. If you look through there and like them, maybe you could add a link to my page to your favorites and check it out once a week or so. I'm not saying you have to, but if you like it, I'd appreciate it. Anyway, I just started with this thing last week. I hope you like the article, and I hope this thing sort of works without being a complete waste of time. Link to all my articles I'll also maybe cross-post this in the lounge area. Hopefully that'll be OK. Thanks!! |

Cool article.....my decision for these years of trucks was price(cheep) and avoided the emission thugs.

Yeah. Cheap is another good thing about them. I actually liike the '55 - '59 style better. But my dad used to have a nice '57, and I remember that thing being actually not that great to drive. These kind like ours are such nice driving trucks.
After I bought mine, the guy that owned it thought I got it way too cheap and that I was just going to take it back to "the big city" and sell it. I guess he was all bent out of shape about it. I still have it, though. |

I havent heard too many good things about the straight axle front ends on the earlier trucks. I like the 55-59's too...uh, and the 47-55, and, uh, the 67-72....
