A few questions before I start my project

I have owned a 67 LB since I was 13, It was my daily driver in highschool. Im now 25 and its been setting up for about 6 years. Its still looks good, no rust, no dents, semi shiny red paint. I want to get it back on the road. My plans are too shorten to a SWB, put a vortec 350 and 700R4 in it, new oaint, lower it and put some nice wheels on it. I have a few questions before I start though::
1. Should I shorten my bed even though its pretty much flawless, or should I just sell it and buy a SWB bed?

2.What could I sell my lwb bed for? no dents, one sratch, no rust, good paint.

3. What is my original running 283 and powerglide worth to sell?

Thanks in advance, Brett

I think I would buy a SB but they can be pretty pricey. They avg about a grand for a fleet. If you have the skills to cut down the bed I say go for it.

Also what you usually get for a grand is one in need of lots of love. If you have a good truck as it stands, then look around for some help shortening your long bed.

I would cut down your own bed and frame. Trying to find a swb in descent enough shape then trying to transport it will become a mission.

Welcome from Miami....

You might want to consider becoming a paying member the best $25.00 you will ever spend..
