Stant Gas Cap
I was told that a Stant 2378 cap would fit my 72 as a vented cap. I went to buy one, but was told those were the old Stant model numbers and they could not cross reference. Does anyone know what cap that would be with their new numbers?

If nobody comes up with the numbers I think I have a box from one out in the shop. I can check in the morning. LockDoc

Re: Stant Gas Cap
The 72 was a special cap for only that year. 72 had the vapor recover system. I have one at home in the box. I will be going home at lunchtime and get the part number.

I don't know if it is vented it is the proper cap for the emission system on the tank.

Re: Stant Gas Cap
Sorry about that. I just went out and grabbed my cap and looked at the number stamped on it. Didn't realize they changed the numbering system.
