my gmc 2500
It began life as a 2wd and was mostly converted before i bought it. It only needed t case, front driveline, the lights set up and new tires. This build will be never complete until it gets sold, and consist of the stuff i brake or need done. by the way im 15 turning 16 in 10 days.
Some Pictures. when we first got it. The first time out, no front driveline.

Re: my gmc 2500
well later this week my truck should be getting fixed and today i started rewriting it. And with talking to my uncle and his employees saying the cast intake is rusting and some stuff is bad that i should take the cab off and restore it in places, that might take place. If so i will have some cooler stuff and maybe a paint job.

Re: my gmc 2500
i forgot to say i fixed most the bad wiring and i got the t case fixed i had to replace the 2 piece output housing with a one peice, i will thank right gear and axle and 4wheeler for the peice because it was off fourwheelers vehile i think they're running a 205 t case and right gear just gave me the piece. And i found out that the 2nd peice was cracked after i took it off, so next week i will fix the spring perches and get my driveline retubed. And put a motor in my new truck.

Re: my gmc 2500
My uncle made me make a list of what i need to do to it, and i really didn't find anything thats really hard just stuff that will take some time. I have to put fluid in the t case and trany and front end, turn it around tighten the bolts for my bumper lift it from the fork lift from the bumper and crossmember unbolt the u bolts and put the new axle in bolt it up. Measure drivelive have it made and do the brake lines and go wheeling.

Re: my gmc 2500
I have it moving under its own power, got the front put together and now i hae decided to keep the rear end in it because it has a locker and all it needs is the perchs and a brake a job which i will do soon, and the rear driveline.

Re: my gmc 2500
ho72 or ho52 because it isn't a 14 bolt and the diff cover looks stock but is pretty strong, i parked on it wasn't planning on it, thought it was the peice of wood and left it that way for about 30 mins and it didn't bend.

Eatons are awesome.
more ground clearance that a 14 bolt, removable third member and diff cover. i picked mine up for dirt cheap and it had 4:57 gearing. |

Re: my gmc 2500
4.10s going to be my tow rig and recovery rig when needed. I may switch out my rims and tires for some less aggresive tires.

Re: my gmc 2500
They have a lot of power for a 350 and the gears make them great for pulling stuff but have you thought about arb air lockers they're 700ea and detroits are a lot and with those you could use the compressor for air tools and airing up tires.
