Brake swap 77? into 69 c20

My 69 c20 has a front frame section and brake master/booster setup from a ?77? chevy 3/4t and even after looking up some stuff I decided it was time to ask for more info.

What should I do to swap out master/booster?

The bracketry off of booster to firewall appears to be different.

What should I do to swap in this portion of the disc swap??

Will the master cylinder just swap in and out and I'm done or do I need (or should I) swap out entire booster/master combo?

Anyone that has done this swap or has good info on this upper portion of the swap and could share could be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

ok does the truck already have disc up front?

and are you looking to keep the '77 setup entirely?

im assuming that the booster and master are from the '77 correct?

and what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

sorry just need a lil more info to help..

Re: Brake swap 77? into 69 c20

Truck still has drum brakes up front and I want to have disc under front when it comes time to freshen up brakes in front.

Truck is new to me and is in need of a good overhaul before I haul w/ it.

Would kinda like to keep it a clean build w/ minimal "hacking" (I've got other trucks for that )

Yes, booster and master are from the '77.

What am I trying to accomplish?

I want my booster/master to be capable of controling the front discs.

OK, my original post was kinda unclear. The front section is not "on" the truck, it is "in" the truck. I picked up the parts for it and it is all sitting in the bed of the truck. The original drum brake front setup is still under the front end.

Re: Brake swap 77? into 69 c20

as for the front brakes i would and go with the '77 master and booster. that would control the front brakes properly. and with drum in the rear it should work out fine.

im not sure if the front end out of the '77 will bolt up like on a c10, but it should be similar.

the booster and master should bolt up with minimal hacking, i haad a 84 booster and master and all i had to do was edit the booster bracket to clear and all was fine.

im not sure if the front end out of the '77 will bolt up like on a c10, but it should be similar. if thats what you want to do.
and the booster pushrod (from pedal to booster) may be a different length. akso make sure you use the '77 proportioning valve.

the only issues you would have that i can think of would be the steering, but im sure there is a way to adapt, the tie rod ends may be different, im unsure though.
