Re: coil lift?
I'd contact some spring manufacturers and have a set made, because a truck weighs quite a bit more than a JEEP so lifted springs will squat. If this is a 2wd I'd guess you can't lift the front much at all as the tires will be sucked in at the bottom (I know its camber or caster but sure which term it is and not sure if positive or neg, but you get the point)?
Maybe switch to a solid front axle (4x4) and use the coil overs then, but with upper and lower A-Arms it is near impossible to lift a 2wd in the front, unless you get a spindle that is designed with the shaft 2" down from stock (ie a 2" lift), but other than that, no, I don't see it happening. Re: coil lift?
For the rear, I think it would be pretty easy to swap in some other springs. Rear TJ springs may be a little light, but the front springs usually have a higher spring rate, so they may work well. Worth a try.
On the front, like mentioned, it's gonna be tough. I think the tires would have a lot of postive camber (like this \ / ). The stock setup is pretty limited on travel. You could probaby make some custom A arms to correct the camber and get more travel. I'm pretty sure it would all be custom.....at least I've never seen a setup for one our trucks like this. Good luck! |
