does anyone know if someone makes some extensions (for upper a-arms) to be able to add more length to the studs to be able to add more shim/spacers to get more positive camber??

i am maxed out on stud length and i need to get more positive camber at the ride height i want to be at.

if no one makes some, i will have some made at a local machine shop. i have a pretty good desgin ideas

Moog makes an longer stud ... it isn't an "add on" extension as much as it is a replacement.

sorry, but I don't know the part number ...

are the factory ones made to be removed? i thought the were welded into place??

They are pressed in and have a knurl under the head that holds it from turning when pressed in place. I took mine out with a 3 lb hammer and install new ones with the same hammer.

NO!!! Just a bolt will not work! You are betting your life and the lives of others on these bolts. Get the proper bolts!

I bought some from LMC and the ones shipped were longer than what I replaced - maybe someone else can chime in here but these look exactly like wheel studs for a rear axle to me - which are available in many different lengths and grades from suppliers like ARP etc and are pressed in same style - wheel studs would seem to me to be the same grade of fastner - especially something desinged for something with 2000+ rear wheel HP.

make sure your frame rails havent rolled in causing your negative camber.

Has anyone mentioned "off-set" upper control arm shafts? They move the upper control arm outward, eliminating the need for excessive shimming and the longer bolts. It's a much more stable situation, but it does cost more.

I didnt know you could get these for the trucks. My buddy with a 68 Camaro bought some different uppershafts they had some sort of offset but you could turn them around for different settings. I think they were global west.

I don't know for sure that they are available for this application. They are essentailly "crash parts" made as replacements where a frame is not pulled enough or at all for that matter. I just assumed that they would be made to fit these trucks, there are millions of them out there...

A quick search yeilded a MOOG part number K6184
