Need major help with rims - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

hey everyone! i picked up a set of 15x8 centerline drag stars for the front and 15X10 for the rear. the front has 245/40 tires and the rear has 305/50 but anyways the rims are the 4 3/4" bolt pattern. now i can run adapters but i would rather not. So here are my questions:

Can the mounting holes on the rims be slotted out 1/4"?

Are there any rotors with the 4 3/4" bolt pattern that is a direct bolt on for our trucks like from a chevy blazer or similar?

What can be done with the rear axles to get the desired bolt pattern?

You can get new axle shafts for 300 a set or you can get those re-drilled for less. It depends on what the machine shop in your area charges.

You can convert the front as well, but you will spend about the same if not more in parts.

My question is, did you buy them cheap enough to justify the expense of making them fit?

here are a few pictures. i picked up the set for 280. they are in great shape no dings or curb rash. and they are "real centerlines." im going to do it right and redrill for 4.75 both the front and rear are tucked nicely. thanks for the reply

If it were me, I would try to sell those and make a few $$$ profit.

Then you could buy wheels that fit your truck with out the hassle of conversion.

yea i thought about that but it seems everytime i have something kinda nice i sell it. im just going to stick with these and try to enjoy them. i know some guys at a machine shop around here so it shouldnt be too expensive you know

just an update i call my local machine shop today to redrill the rotors axles and drums on my truck. they referred me to another machine shop. so, i was talking to the owner and said i need to go from 4.75-5". he said ok what we do is drill the rims and and press in a knurled insert and its basically not noticable to the eye. he said it does not compromise wheel integrity and is perfectly safe. i said ok lets do it. 60 bucks for four rims. all the work is done on a fadal cnc. they will be done tomorrow i will post pictures. btw-this is theo only type of work this machine shop does all day long and they looked very professional. will update tomorrow!
