A good sharp single edge razor blade will get most anything off glass. Since glass is harder than the blade, it won't scratch.

I use a .018 gauge music wire to cut the good glass out. After you have removed the mouldings take a piece of the wire about 4 feet long and snake it through a thin area (if you can find one) of sealer from the inside out, grab it with a pair of needle nose and pull it through about half way, put a pair of gloves on and wrap each end around your hands, now "see-saw" the wire around the windsheild. If your good you can get all the way around without breaking the wire. If you cut to fast the wire will heat up and break. A roll of that music wire is not expensive, I've bought it from hardware stores.

Piano wire is best if you are saving the glass, one guy inside,& 1 outside works.....if they are both patient! I have a tool for cutting broken glass out, its basicly a 90 degree cutter blade on a handle, with a t bar to pull it with.......gives a great workout to the shoulders! Urathane is a bear to cut,I did auto glass in the mid 80s, so thats been a yr or 2! Good luck........69
