Re: what interchanges?
Might try ebay for an interchange book might answer some of your questions. Difference in doors n windows componets doubt they would. Steering column might with some mods. Believe a list of some items maybe in the sites FAQ.

Re: what interchanges?
Your question is very open ended... Since Chevrolet stuff is very easy to interchange across many years.
Can you be more specific on what your desired end result(s) are to be? Or you can check out the same books that salvage yards and shops use, it can be handy when you are looking for parts and not "up on" the Chevy truck generational thing. https://hollanderinterchange.net/cat...x.php?cPath=21

Personally I wouldn't even bother trying to interchange things from a 84 body to a 67/72. Two totally different body designs. 73 rad shroud on a 67/72 - doubt it. since the rad support is different. 84 door glass in a 67/72 - no. since I think the 84 glass will be slightly contoured plus the shape, where as the 67/72 is flat. Plus not to mention the retractor mechansim most likely connects to the glass differently. 84 door locks in a 67/72 door - Key mechanism maybe, but the pawl will be different. Door latches are different. Put it this way, just about everything on your 84's body, glass, interior either won't work, or maybe "made to fit" but will look funny IMO. Under the 84 the mechanicals swap pretty easy, since most of it is pretty much the same for many years. (aside from the smog control junk). Get a catalog from places like http://www.lmctruck.com/ Catalogs will tell you most of the time the years what parts go into, plus LMC has a lot of usefull exploded views of things. good luck.

Re: what interchanges?
On the door panels, NO. Not unless you also change the window and door mechanisms (72's stick out further).
Steering column, not without alot of work.

Re: what interchanges?
This is what I have done and I am sure others here have done the same thing.
I went on the LMC website and requested catologs, 1960-66, 1967-72 and 1973-87. This way I can compare part numbers to see what are the same. It works for me, also some auto parts places will be able to tell what year a part will fit, but it may take a little work on the part of the parts person. Danny

Re: what interchanges?
I think that most of us who have been at this game for a while do just that. Order the paper catalogs and or peruse the web catalogs.
I try to buy just enough from some of them with the "good" catalogs to make sure that I keep the catalogs coming. As some of the other guys said, you can often 'make things work". But to put them in the truck and have them look like they belong there in the first place is a bit of an art. |

Re: what interchanges?
Here's a book that may help some. It's the
Chevrolet Pickup Parts Interchange Manual 1967-1978 ISBN 0-7603-0680-X It's a Motorbooks International publication and retailed for $19.95 when I got mine several years ago.
