any info on a Step Van?
I'm not sure what year it is, it says the name of the cleaner that it is parked at on the side of it. I saw the reverse lights look identical to the 60-66 fleet reverse lights, but the front bumper reminds me of a 67-72.....
sorry for the crap-tastic cell pics...I will try to get more next time I am up that way. I don't know what engine is in it, but it has a column shift automatic in it. I don't know if they would sell it either, I was afraid to ask, cause if the price was right I would want to buy it and I don't have the space or extra cash at the moment anyway..... pics!!!

Re: any info on a Step Van?
you have no room to talk about pics there mac
et tu protrash thanks for all the info guys.... next time I'm up that way I will takes some more pics Jonz.....We have a '95 suburban, and a '51 3/4 ton long panel waiting in the wings.....so 47-59, 60-66, 73-87, and 88-98.....this van would be icing on the cake, then I would just need a 99-up (probably not gonna happen)

Re: any info on a Step Van?
My guess is the cleaners van is a '67-68. Because of the 67-72 front bumper, 67 fender emblems, 67-72 stepside tail lights. The one on the craigslist ad, the '65, has a 63-66 front bumper. They probably ran the same body for years! The front end still looks like from the early 50's.
Those things are cool!

Re: any info on a Step Van?
I think those hubcaps are 68 as well along with the bumper and emblems like j chav mentioned.
the telling tale is the 68-72 side markers that the goverment mandated after the 67 model year was over... so 68 is my guess, but I think the hubcaps will tell the year. joe if you get this , you can be on 3 of the forums on here! 60-66,67-72, and 73-81 |

Re: any info on a Step Van?
Agreed. All signs point to some really old body style updated to modern (at the time) standards. Emblems and hubcaps suggest '68, bumper and side markers suggest '68 to '72. Steering wheel/interior pics *might* indicate something, too.

Re: any info on a Step Van?
The reverse lights are the same as the 60-66. the part # changed for the P series van and they ran into the 70's. I used to order new one's from gm in the eighties.
