I have decided i didnt want to rebuild my stock door, cant find any solid used doors, so im going with a repop.... I know we are going to have to mod it a little bit, but i dont really care.. Just worried about the price right now....

Re: Most inexpensive repop door???
Certifit (I call them "Sortafit") fenders are horrible.. Yes they are cheap, (the normal manufactures of their fenders is either "Gordon" or Certifit)
They are way thinner than Triplus/Keyparts ones.. the passenger side of the 69/72 chev ones are too "pointed" on the front and your grill will not fit flush in the recess, I have never tried their rockers or inner fenders. |

Re: Most inexpensive repop door???
Just off the top of my head they were like $41 for inners and $69 for fenders. Rockers and cab corners were cheaper than I recall seeing also (less than $15 each) Front bumpers chromed for a 68 were like $107.

Re: Most inexpensive repop door???
nos fenders are kinda of a bad fit also if you don't know what you are doing. I have seen many guys throw high end fenders and hoods on these trucks and tighten it down and go....and you can tell they are rookies. I don't want something to last 30 years(the originals only last 15 till they rust out anyway). I just want something to last 10, I never keep a truck more than 2-4 years anyway.

Re: Most inexpensive repop door???
The most inenexpensive door is the one you have to do the least amount of work to, not necessarily the cheapest. You can buy good originals for $100 or less if you shop around

Re: Most inexpensive repop door???
A buddy of mine bought both inners from certifit for $80. He hasn't installed them yet. Most parts are priced about the same no matter where you get them from. If someone is WAY cheaper than everyone else I would be a little leary. There is probably a reason and I bet it is quality. For what it's worth I restore vehicles for a living and have bought a LOT of sheetmetal over the years. I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for".
