Re: windshield wiper blades

Pull one of your and go match them up. Just because they are the same length don't mean they are exactly the same.

Re: windshield wiper blades

Most wiper blade have a narrow and a wide version to them. I think stock they were narrow, but they can be swapped either way if someone has changed the whole wiper not just the blade. Like Ken said just take yours off and compare. That is the easiest way. That way if yours has been changed to a different one somtime in the past you will get the correct one for what you need.

As far as going longer, usually you can go a size longer. The newer windshields aren't as easy to do with their curvature. The older ones are more flat, and let the longer ones work better. Easiest way would be to turn the wipers on and stop them when they are straight up. This is usually where it is a factor. You don't want to go too long, and start hitting the top of the windshield gasket. The longer ones don't really help all that much to the driver, but it is possible to do it.

Re: windshield wiper blades

I agree with Ken, this is the way I have replaced blades on everything I ever owned. Also worked in the quick lube industry for years and we did it there too (for a pretty penny).

Re: windshield wiper blades

I run 18" blades on my truck. It is just about the limit on length, though.
