Suspension parts interchange question
I wanted to run the later model (73-81 suburban) type a-arms.. The ones with actual bushings vice the metal shaft in my 66 would it be possible to swap the a-arm without swaping the whole k-member.. Just looking at the lmc catalog they look similar.. I would just have to swap the a-arm assembly.
I could see the advantage of the bushings.. I dont know if any of you have tried it vice swapping the whole k-member. Thanks |

Re: Suspension parts interchange question
Just FYI, the '73-'87 C10 pickups, and the '73-'91 C10 Suburbans and Blazers all had the rubber bushings on the control arm shafts.

Re: Suspension parts interchange question
The guy I bought the truck from already swapped the brakes.. I was going to get some suspension parts from the junkyard back home while I was on leave. I think its pretty weird that none of the junkyards here in Nofolk, VA have any old chevy's just 90's and up.
Definatley looking foward to getting my power steering parts Thanks for the info guys. |
