smooth front bumper

I would like to smooth the front bumper of my '68 c-10 (remove the factory bolt heads) any helpful tips would be appreciated.

There have been articles on the subject in different car magazines from time to time and on the net of a few forums.

I think I would talk to whoever I was going to have replate the bumper to see what they say as to the best way to do it.
It amounts to welding bolts to the back of the bumper and filling and smoothing the holes.

i have done it before for an elcamino, cutting the buttons off the bolt heads and welding them in the square carriage end and grinded them smooth. if one of the aftermarket bunper manufacturers would make these they would sell like crazy.
