spare tire set up
Anyone have a picture, or can tell me how the spare was secured in the tire tub?
I never saw how mine was set up, and my Dad said he lost the stuff many years ago. So ever since then the tire just sat in the tub, and squeeked all the time with the rubber rubbing on the steel while driving along. Thanks!

Re: spare tire set up
There is (or was) a support beam behind the spare that had a threaded hole in it. A long bolt or threaded rod went into it, passing through one of the openings on the spare.

Re: spare tire set up
Get radial tires in a wrong (larger) size, then the spare will barely squeeze into the tire well... :-(
that worked for me
