FYI Headers for Lowered Trucks
Been wanting to replace the old full length Hedmans with 3/4 lenght headers. Did not want to spend the 220 for the Dynomax WLK-86118 3/4 length coated header. Found the painted version WLK-85118 for 109 at summit
the specs Chevrolet: 1964-88 283-400, Chevelle/Malibu/El Camino, 1967-81 Camaro, 1 1/2 in. primary tubes, 2 1/2 in. collectors, painted, shorty header

Did you notice any difference in power vs. the long tube headers? I'd just as soon avoid any clearance issues since I have slammed my front crossmember on the occasional big bump and I've only dropped it 2.5" / 4".

Have not installed them yet......The Headmans have 1-5/8 primary with 3 inch collector vs. 1-1/2 primary with 2.5 inch collector.
This is from the Dynomax site Primary Tube Length Determines torque above or below the peak horsepower RPM point. Shorter tubes add torque above the peak RPM point and reduce torque below. Longer tubes add torque below the peak RPM point and reduce torque above it. Primary Tube Diameter Determines peak horsepower RPM point. Use small diameter tubes on small CID engines to produce mid-to-high-RPM torque. Use large diameter on large CID engines to produce mid-to-high-RPM torque. If in doubt, use smaller diameter tubes

Do a search on "Headers for Lowered Trucks" on the board.
