Can't give ya any help for people in your area but pulling out the messed up wires and replacing with a stock harness, really isn't all that hard to do right there in your own driveway.

Any more details you could give on your troubles?

Lots of little problems. Like front turn signals only turn on when in reverse. I know I have a new short thats not letting the battery get charged up. I will try to work on it myself for now. I will keep you posted.

I agree with VT. The wire harnesses are in sections, which makes it fairly easy. Their is an underdash, underhood, headlight & taillight sections. If you buy a repop harness, it should be plug & play (of sorts).

Re: 72 k5 electrical work

The easiest solution is to just buy replacements. You can do the engine compartment quickly. The under dash is a little harder because you'll need to work around the column, stereo and most likely pull the glove box. I haven't replace the taillights or the long wire from the firewall back, but it's easy to see so it can't be too difficult.
