cab mount Question for the 3/4 ton trucks
First of all Hi to everyone here. Im restoreing a 62 k-20 cab chassie with a factory pto flatbed dump body. LMC has new cabmounts for 1/2 ton but nothing for 3/4 or 1ton. are they all the same? If not Ive used hocky pucks in the past, but this truck is a keeper when im finished. This truck was born in New York and lived in Connecticut its whole life. The cab was shot so im replaceing with one from out west. This isnt my first chevy I had a 65 c-20 My dad and i shoehorned a 454 in it. Sold it when i was 18. Kicked my self ever since. This 62 is going to be looking good and i plan on useing it as a truck. But it wont see winter plowing or driving through the woods for fire wood I have a 85 Power wagon for that.

Re: cab mount Question for the 3/4 ton trucks
the 3/4 ton a-nd up used a vulcanized rubber mount for a softer ride, they are not reproduced.
padresags suggestion is what I would suggest too. pic 1-c/20 pic 2-c/10 |

you can also see the difference in height on the 2 mounts, the 3/4 ton bolts directly to the cab, wheras the 1/2 has about an inch and a hallf of rubber cushion between the mount and the cab.

Re: cab mount Question for the 3/4 ton trucks
One way is to get 1/2 ton brackets and the 1/2 ton mounting hardware to go with it, as has been said. Option 2 (if you have the original rear mounts) is to get a hold of Steele Rubber and have them redo yours for about $118/pr. Either way you need to remove the mounts, so your choice.

Re: cab mount Question for the 3/4 ton trucks
Ok great pics! My cabmounts are like the c-10 pictured, Mabee the K series did something else? Mine look thicker and are one inch above the frame rail. Couldnt find the VIN on top though. I took a picture but cant seem to post it. Thanks guys!

my 63 k20has the vulcanized rubber mount, but 60-62 had the different frame, so maybe thier mount is different?
