Truck Bed Cover Ideas

I am looking to get a bed cover for my short bed. I found one at Brother's Chevy GMC. Has anyone purchased this? I want to stay with a one-piece, hard top. Anyone find one somewhere else? It's a bit pricey, around 1,300.00, but then again, the truck is pricey. Just want it to look good and work well. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Gaylord, Leer and others are the better known brands. Gaylord has a good rep for quality. They are pricey for sure. If not new there should be some pop up on CL or the bay.
Take a look at this link.

haysonj, your truck looks great. I just ordered one, without the electric motor, that will be delivered today. Looking at your bed rails, is that rinolinning over the edge or do you have black bed caps? I am trying to figure out what to do with my bed rails. Also, any tips on the install? Thanks!

The liner is a Linex liner and as far as installation it is real easy but you may need help lifting the bed cover into the bed. I used my cherry picker to set it in the bed. The only thing I wish I had done is put the tail gate latch inside before I painted the truck. I had to put dead bolts inside the tailgate so people could not get in.

Re: Truck Bed Cover Ideas

Because nobody makes a cover for a longbed stepside I had mine made locally. They used real heavy gauge Naugahyde and they sewed on a pair of edge stripes that perfectly matched the body color and then they completely installed the snaps on the bed and did a beautiful job all for $225.00. I only said this to show that you don't have to spend big bucks to get a nice cover. All it takes is to find a good upholstery shop. Just my $.02

Just noticed you want a hard cover. Sorry, my error.
