Frame ID?

How can you tell one frame from another? I need to know what i am looking at so i dont get it home and be dissapointed when things dont match up right. Thanks a lot.

Wheel base if it is a rolling chassis.
There is also a part number stammped on the passenger side outer rail. I have the part number someplace for the one ton chassis, but no others.
