Disc Brakes on my 70 gmc

ok i was wanting to put disc brakes on mytruck but i dont want to pay for the kits. I have a 99 chevy 1500 that i took the motor out of and its just sitting there now. Will the spindles and brakes fit on my truck

It won't be a bolt on deal. I'm not sure if you can use the ball joints for the newer truck in your old control arms or not. I think '99 was a split year for trucks where two body styles were available. I'm not certain if the suspension was different, too. It would be a much simpler deal to swap over a 73-87 truck or 73-91 Suburban, but I understand that you would much rather use what you already have.
