Question on brakes

Just curious what people are running for their brake systems on high powered rigs. The heart of mine will be a supercharged LS1 backed by a powerglide, so I need to be sure im gonna be able to stop.

I plan for front and rear disc of course and just looking for some opinions of what to look into, and whats working for you guys out there!

Trucks still in planning stage so just looking for opinions, thankyou!!

Re: Question on brakes

We have a lot of questions here about improving brakes. I hope to have an informative post on this subject coming soon. In the meantime take a look at some of our forum vendors websites to see what is available.

Re: Question on brakes

This is what I will be running on my 5.3 powered ride (will eventually be Kenne Bell supercharged also )

Front: CPP modular drop spindles with LS1 F-body front calipers on stock diameter drilled and slotted rotors with Hawk HPS pads.

Rear: LT1 camaro rear calipers on Impala SS drilled/slotted rotors using caliper backing plates from a board member (glock...something....it's been awhile since I got them) with Hawk HPS pads again.

Also got a CPP disk-disk proportioning valve.
