I think I got mine from Musclerodz, some are half LED and some are full LED.

Re: led taillights, who was making on this site ??

Actually not hard to make yourself. Many computer and electronic stores Physical or online have them at real cheap prices. We made them on Motorcycles back when they first came easily availible. Its not hard to do and most of the ones that are on the market are way overpriced for what they are. Plus you can make any design you want.

What do you need when buying the parts? I would love to do this on both my trucks but need to know what to order.

LMC truck has them. Click on this link to view. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/t.aspx?Page=72
The interesting thing about them is that LMC claims is that they only use 15% of the power that stock bulbs use and they are brighter. Hope this helps.

Re: led taillights, who was making on this site ??

I was really wanting the parts. I don't mind helping out board members, but if I can build it myself without opening my wallet to far.......more money for my truck I have looked and have not found in the past where to get the needed parts. I can find leds just not the boards or resistors.

Re: led taillights, who was making on this site ??

I have heard that the leds dont give enough resistance to make the flashers work.......so no hazards or turn signals....

Is there any truth to this?

You have to replace the flasher with one made for the LEDs. They're available on Ebay or through folks who sell the lights.

Re: led taillights, who was making on this site ??

Here is what I did for my Subaru back in 2003. It worked flawlessly for 3 years until I sold the car and reportedly the current owner is still using them without fail to this day...They looked stellar and were a fun project to figure out and complete. I will be doing the same thing with my c10, all the lighting will be LED except for the headlights...With todays LED's it will be cheaper and easier then back then also!!
