87 3+3 one ton 4x4
Ok lets try this. I'm trying to change my one ton into a dually. I have a dana 60 front axle that I want to keep the same. I want the wide tire look up front. What I'm in need of is about the rear end. I have a 14 bolt one ton srw axle in it now. The only numbers I can find is on the nose,15596139, Do I need to get a dually axle from a pickup and if so what do I need to look out for .

Being a SRW truck it will have a 14ff. If you want a dually, you could use cab and chassis hubs, that will tuck the tires under the body.
If you don't want that, then you will need to find a dually axle. Most are Dana 70HD's, using this will push the tires outside the body, needing the dually fenders. Too bad your way down there, I have a dually axle that I'm not gonna use.....

Thanks,Ya I already got a sweet dually box out of Miss, a few weeks ago for $100.00,no rust ,headache rack, fifth wheel . Don't know if I'll use some of the extras but for that price I've got them and the bed I wanted.

B454rat, what would you need for the rear end and do you happen to know the gear?

It has 4.10s in it. Not much of a call for those style axles here, so not really sure what they go for. Hear people say "name your price", but if that was the case I'd be a rich man all of these I trip over in yards.
