Re: WTB Dog dish

I believe 67-72 had blue bowties, with a convex center and 73-up had the yellow bowties, with a concave (pushed in) center.

Re: WTB Dog dish

The 1/2 ton caps should be concave with blue bowties in my opinion. I have never seen a 1/2 ton cap (12" diameter) with a convex center. The 3/4 ton are convex to clear the center of the axle housing, no need for that on a half ton.

Re: WTB Dog dish

Hey Jeff- Good to know. My caps fit my 3/4 ton either way (pushed in or popped out). I thought it had to do with the year of the truck, not 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton. I learn something new every day! My 3/4 caps are 12" in diameter...aren't the 1/2 tons closer to 10" in diameter?

Re: WTB Dog dish

Yes, you are right Scott, the 3/4 tons are 12", my bad. I looked for a long time for a convex 10" cap and never found one or even a picture of one. Seen many concave caps that were on old survivors and a few concave caps that someone tried to pop out that looked 'popped out" I am pretty sure there was not a 67-72 10' cap that was convex but would be happy to see a pic and be proven wrong. But then I will have to find a pair....
