Project Spongebob Square Body
OK, before we get too critical on the name, my two-year-old son picked it out. When he first saw the truck I asked him what we should call it... looks like DVR and Nickelodeon have a large influence on him! (He's been naming everything "Spongebob" for the past few months). I decided to throw the "square body" on the end of it... for my own sanity!
Picked up this beauty for $500. Runs and drives. Pretty straight, and only a little rust in the floor (under the rubber mat, of course). Plans include Dropmembers front and rear, tubular arms, and some 22's. Looking to throw this thing together and make it a driver (My DD is boring me to death). Keeping the nasty yellow, and planning on installing/fabricating a dash from a 55 truck. Might powdercoat the wheels/bumpers a semi-gloss black and leave it at that. Looking for some 22's... and willing to trade out some product for them!

Hoping to remove them without damaging the paint (one on each door).

Re: Project Spongebob Square Body
dang, you're keeping busy... cool project. I'd leave the hand prints... come up with some funny name to stencil underneath, like
hands off speed shop or some such thing...

I know you want deuces, but I have a set of 6 lug mag style 20's sitting around if it floats your boat, would look good powder'd.

Re: Project Spongebob Square Body
I agree with Crawdaddy. That thing is screaming for poverty bumpers painted white.
I know your wanting to trade product, but have you seen the deal that Centerline has on the RF series - ROTARY? They have them in the overstock department for 189.00 each. LINK Paint the centers white to match the bumpers and call it good...

As for the "poverty" idea, that's the driving force. I am trying not to spend any more than I have to. Fortunately for me, I have a good source for suspension parts.

Re: Project Spongebob Square Body
Man I was going to say paint the bumpers white and get some wheels to match, but I guess I don't have to. I like the hand print, too. What motivates this thing? I6 / 3 on the tree?
