Re: Research help needed
How about the rear floor? They make truck steel floors now for both the long and short beds.
That area at the rear of the door jamb and behind the seats, where the seat belts bolt in seems like a common rust area and I'm not aware of a patch for it. A better, more affordable rear hatch would be great. The only repro one fits poorly for the handle, the quality (I've heard) is not so good. If the whole upper windshield frame is too much trouble, a patch panel for the inner side, like they have now for truck cabs would be good. The frame body mounts that are unique to blazers might be good. Mine are severely rusted on my 2wd frame. I need to find replacements or weld repair the ones I have. How about the gas filler cover piece on the inside of the bed. The bottoms are always rusted off out here. Carpet hold down strips are hard to find. Even poor quality used ones sell if they can be repainted or chromed. Are there seat backs available for these? That plastic one for the buckets?

Not sure where you've been finding your info but as you now know, they've been telling you wrong. A lot of parts transfer from trucks to blazer but there's also a lot that won't. Stick around, lots to learn on this site. |

Re: Research help needed
Yes they are different in a big way. LMC and every where else i have been looking on the internet says they fit both trucks and blazers. I finally found a driver side bracket for a blazer a while back still looking for a pass. side one though

Re: Research help needed
BLAZEtoBLAZE, if you become a subscribing member, you can post a "wanted to buy" thread and I'm someone on the board has the part(s) you need.
Now, back to the topic - carpet strips and tailgate seal retainers would be good. I've also seen a lot of demand for complete bedsides.
