Is there a good adapter plate to hide the original stock hole?

I just installed a Pioneer deck without any issues. However, there is a tiny 1/8" gap around the basic adapter plate. I was at the Goodguys show this past weekend and several trucks had an additional plate that covered that. Anybody have any suggestions or know where to get one?

Back in the late '70s, I cut 2 holes and a rectangle in the factory Radio Delete Plate, to support my Sanyo cassette player in my '68 C/10. I painted it flat black. If I were to do it over today, I'd leave it the factory 516 Orange to match the dash (and the truck). Of course, Radio Delete Plates are hard to come by now. I found mine inside the passenger side door after pulling the inside door panel.
I picked up a couple more for my other trucks. but don't have any audio gear installed yet.
As an alternative, I might trace the 2-1/2 x 10 [guessing as to dimension, here] out on a piece of aluminum and cut the control/face holes out. Diamond Tread might be cool, or bare metal that's been turned with a wire brush in a drill motor. Called 'Damascene' or jewelled or machine turned. Lindbergh's "Spirit of Saint Louis" sported a cowling with this finish.

i guess it depends how you cut the hole, but i cut it the right size for the radio sleeve to sit in so i dont have a gap

on the 67-72's you do need a 1/4 inch trim ring. I can get these cheap if any one wants one.

are the delete plates worth anything, I know where i could get one for free or next to nothing..its dark green in a 67 chevy lwb step..

I have paid $10 bucks each for some. That was a while ago, and from a friend. They make dandy faceplates for the 2-knob radio/cassette players, if you cut out the holes right.
On that note, a factory delete plate would be a good reverse fascia for some kind of LCD screen along the lines of that thread about the LCD faceplate that's hidden in the ash tray. [Can't recall the exact link, myself]. Just saying...
