Is this a good idea? Or just a brain fart?
OK.....some of you already know....I am working on a 1991 suburban that has been totally reworked drive train wise. I have a 97 7.4 vortec in it along with a 96 4l80e ready to go in it. But my issue is the transfer case. I have been trying to find a transfer case to work with the setup but every option I see is "scary" or doesn't sit well with me. And with new length issues on the tranny and relocation of the crossmember, I've sort of been thinking of other "Cool" ideas. Now I don't know if I am the first to think of this, but what if I was to rig the 4wd floor shift to act as a switch for the electronic transfer case?!?!? I think that would be cool. Anyone ever tried it or seen it. I really don't want to run a relay in the cab for a push button. It's cluttered enough. Thoughts?!?!?! opinions?!?!?!?!....you dumbass what the hell are you thinking?!?!?!

What t-case are you looking for?? I have one off a 91 that had the 4l80. 241 pass drop with the VSS and correct adapter.

I have a 241c currently.....I'm wondering if I can just take out the input gear from the electronic and put it in the 241c and call it a day. I'm out of cash on this project and I'm trying to get creative.
