tailgate rant on my 07
Got my 07 sierra july 07, been great. I got linex in bed shortly after I got it...
Fast forward to this year...the tailgate started getting harder to close, not like new where you just push with little or no effort, anyway, after several times closing it, and thinking it was closed/latched, the tailgate dropped while going down road. So now I barely even open tailgate...today I was loading some stuff in bed with tailgate down, I had to slam it to shut, not a hulk slam...anyway the tailgate dented in behind handle and below...what a POS. I'm not fixing it. /rant

Re: tailgate rant on my 07
Yeah, they don't make 'em like they used to. My work truck is an '06 Silverado...one day about two months ago I was getting into the bed for some reason and as I walked past it to climb up near the bumper I noticed a dimple on the top of the passenger side bed rail. The ONLY think I can think is that it was either from the previous driver or from my jumping out the side of the bed, instead of the rear at the bumper...either way, that's some thin sheet metal that'll dimple from climbing in and out of the bed.
Good luck with yours.

Re: tailgate rant on my 07
Sorry to hear that. I have heard a few folks I work with closing their gates, and it did sound awfully light/thin/tinny sounding.
