All the blazers/jimmys I've had so far came with single wall tops. So I'm familiar with how they are bolted in. But the yellow tub I bought for my 2wd came without a top, and the bed rails just have holes, no threaded plates. Is this how the double wall tops were set up normally? If I want to use a single wall top, do I just need to use nuts and washers then to bolt it down?

Right, double wall tops bolt up from the bottom, there's a strip inside the top with captive nuts for the bolts to thread into. If using a double wall top, I'd run a tap through the holes to clean them out real well prior to. Can't remember if they are 3/8 or 5/16 though. Someone else on the board will know for sure tho.

Anyone recall the size of the bolts?

I believe the single and dual wall tops bolt holes are in different locations, so you would have to drill new holes for the single wall top

They do bolt on on different locations on the bed rails.. I use carb studs to bolt on my double wall top...

I saved this off a previous thread:

5/16 coarse thread I believe 18 thread. You can drill and tap to 3/8 if you need to.
