dome light
I've got a 68 SWB 4X4 and would like to install door switches for the dome light. does anyone have an idea or maybe pics as to the best place to in stall the switches in the door jams?

that link won't help on a 68... door switched lights werent avalible till 69, before that the raised part in the jamb didn't exist.

some people have added a switch, but I can't recall how they did it.
haven't seen it brought up for a long time. |

My '67 had them installed when I bought it. Installed by a PO in the hole above the door latch which I think was for a rubber bumper for the door. Yes the opposite end of the door then where they are supposed to be. I have removed them. Hell back in high school, (late '70s) I installed a toggle switch on my '74 GMC to turn them off. You can't have the dome light coming on when you are parking on a dirt road at night with you girl....... of course that was over thirty years ago.
