Brake Lines to Master - Fittings Question??
Ok...my new brake lines did not have the correct fittings to hook up to the master cylinder or the proportioning valve had the wrong ones......My new CPP MC/Booster did come with one adapter for the rears....However, it did not have the correct female end to connect to my lines....
So, I ran to Autozone and found fittings that look like they would do the job....The front one worked fine and had no problems...My issue now is that the new fitting which has the correct threads on both ends has a smaller feed hole and what appears to be a slightly smaller countersink for seating the line? So will the new fitting work ok? Should I drill the feed hole out a little? Any insight would be appreciated! The CPP fitting is on the left....The new Fitting is on the right btw, they both have the same size male end even though they appear different sizes!

Re: Brake Lines to Master - Fittings Question??
I think that the fitting is for a smaller diameter line? I would give NAPA or someplace else a try.

how are you going to get 3/16 line through a 1/8 hole?

I would hunt down the correct adapter instead of drilling the 1/8" one out. I got mine at NAPA. LockDoc

Re: Brake Lines to Master - Fittings Question??
You can buy new lines in the correct size but with different size ends to adapt to a different M/C. I bought some at Napa 1 time. Better than trying to adapt to your adaptor. Can be bought in different lengths too.

Re: Brake Lines to Master - Fittings Question??
My local hardware store has "specialty adapter fittings". Look for "inverted flare adapters".
Just make sure they adapt from Flare-to-Flare,... and not Flare-to- NPT (pipe thread).

Actually, I'm just eliminating the adapters that it came with...so there will just be a single adapter....also, I'm using the SS lines that I bought from Inline Tube....
