Door emblems
How do you take the "custom"emblems off?I don't want to ruin them without asking for help.

Re: Door emblems
Just gently pry them off with a thin tool, they're held on with barrel nuts about 1" in from the ends of the emblem.

Re: Door emblems
DON`T PRY!!!
Take the interior panel off and you`ll find two speed nuts holding them on.Just remove the nuts, that`s all it takes.

Re: Door emblems
That's odd, on my '67 parts truck they're held on with barrel clips and no sign of speed nuts ever used.

Re: Door emblems
See? Looks like the truck has been repainted about 30 years ago, with a brush, and it doesn't look like the trim panel has ever been off.
Must be a Canadian thing, eh........

Re: Door emblems
I pictured the script GMC emblems for some reason, but realized you may have meant the chevy ones.I`ve seen both fasteners on the Chevy and only speed nuts on GMC.
