Hi all....new member!
Just dropping in to say hi!
I have a 70 GMC k1500 long bed, 350/sm465/np205. I daily drive it, use it like a truck and think it is the best little rig I have had the pleasure of owning to date. Here's a pic or two! They are just some cell pics I popped last spring while loading up the car for a weekend of racing. |

Welcome to the greatest truck forum on the web. Ask questions, show pics, tell a joke or two. That's a good looking four-eye. Keep the pics coming! Todd

The Mustang is no longer mine. Had to sell it this past August. It was pretty quick for what it was. Didn't do anything wild with it, just tuned it within an inch of its life. Stock 88 speed density 5.0 1.7 roller rockers 1 5/8 headers O/R mid pipe Flow 40 series catback 3.73 gears with extra clutches and steels in the track-lock Yukon axles Subframes Draglites, BFG DRs on the back Jaz buckets Centerforce clutch Hurst Shifter BMR rear suspension Best times were 13.2's at about 103 in 85* heat and a DA of about 3200ft with a 1.7 sixty foot. I didn't HAVE to trailer it, but it was better than blowing it up at the track 80 miles from home and paying for a tow truck. I might get another someday...... |

Ohhh..I am sure to come up with some...LOL Like maybe, did the 70 4x4s have front discs as an option? 'Cause mine has them, and I can find any listings for pad parts numbers. What part of MD ya from? I grew up in Calvert County. |

The disc brakes came out in 71. 70 was the only year to have drum brakes and open axle joints i believe. I would think yours was swapped out at one time. Eric

Re: Hi all....new member!
Welcome from Oklahoma! I was in Sheridan a month ago on my way back home on a motorcyle trip to Yellowstone. It weirded me out to see highways with railroad crossing type arms to prevent people to getting on because of snow. I imagine four wheel drive is required up there.
I've only been on the forum a few weeks myself. Learned alot and made some friends. Nice to see a truck at work. |
