Adjusting the reverse lites switch bummer
Has anyone had to do this? I worked for an hour trying to adjust this to perfection and got close but no cigar. I first had to figure out how to do it. The little switch near the firewall on the steering column I found by looking in the chassis manual. I trouble shot the reverse lamps, worked some better grounding and both worked but came on at the wrong shifter indicator place. For instance, between drive and L2 the lites came on. Finally decided to adjust the switch, seemed like a good idea and worked but now The lites come on as I shift from park to reverse (good), go off as shift out of rev to nuetral (good again) but when I go from nuetral to reverse, doesn't always come on. Finally got tired messing with it, try again later. Anybody got any great tips about how this works and how to better make all this STUFF work? Thanks!

Re: Adjusting the reverse lites switch bummer
It's a balancing act, while your practically standing on your head, you need to adjust the switch to just the "perfect" spot for it to work correctly at the correct time, otherwise, no dice.
Make sure the switch is 'clipped' over the metal piece on the steering column or you'll be fighting it forever. |

I played this game too. I actually toke the piece apart and cleaned the contacts and springs. It works better now, but not 100%!

I did this and it seems to work most of the time correctly now. Thanks!
