Coy C5 wheels
I am wanting to purchase a set of 20x8.5 chrome c5's but I have read on here that you need to do some customizing if so what needs to be done and are they a pain to install? thanks Also my truck is a 70 swb lowered 2.5 up front and 4 in the back what tire do you think I could use to take up the gap I was looking at 245 35 20 I might need bigger all replys welcome thanks.

I believe that the design has changed on the wheels to make them work. If not all you would have ot do it grind a angle on your hub up front.

they work perfect....18x8 up front 4.5 bs and 20x10 5 bs
255/50/18 front and 295/40/20 rear with a 4/6 ece drop...

If they have not changed there design, let me know I have a cad file that you can have 1/4" spacers made for to go between the centercaps and the face of the wheel and you dont have to grind anything on the hub of the rotor. Just have to find some one to cut them with a waterjet or laser for you. I used 1/4" aluminum for mine. I have sent this file to many of the board members that are running Coys and they work great.

Al, have you done any c-notching or anything to the bump stops to get those tires to work? Do you bottom out or is there still a fair amount of suspension travel?
